Opened in April 2003, the Princess Royal University Hospital in Farnborough provides significantly improved accommodation compared with the Victorian and 1930s buildings which previously housed many of the healthcare services.

This £150 million, 525-bed, state of the art facility provides a full range of acute general hospital services and serves 300,000 people in Bromley and surrounding areas.

The interior has been designed to ensure good access for patients and visitors, with different departments easy to find.

The external shape of the hospital is sympathetic to the environment with sweeping curves rather than harsh angles. Maximum use has been made of glass and interior courtyards to ensure a light and airy feel to the hospital interior.
