PFI has played an important role in the delivery of modernised public services. According to HM Treasury, over 700 PFI projects with a total capital value in excess of £49 billion have reached financial close. These contracts have been signed in over 20 sectors, and by over 100 different procuring authorities.
This has so far translated into over 500 operational projects including 185 new or refurbished health facilities, 230 new or refurbished schools and 43 transport projects.
The PPP Forum has compiled a database of signed and completed projects valued in excess of £15 million, details of which can be accessed from the links below.
Completed projectsAs of April 2007 over 340 projects, each with a capital value of over £15 million and a combined capital value of over £45 billion, were completed and operating.
